Steamin' mad at dirt

I rented a Rug Doctor today and did some massive carpet shampooing. I did our office floor, then did the 3 bedrooms in our house. Thank goodness we've only got 3 carpeted rooms in our house or I'd really be pooped. They didn't have a stair attachement for the machine though, so our steps are still incredibly gross. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put white carpet on the stairs, but trust me, I've seen more intelligent ideas. The floor leading up to the steps and after the steps is all ceramic tile - why couldn't they have done the steps too? Sure would have made my life easier.
